When I was 12 my grandmother gave me a refrigerator magnet that stated, "A closed mouth gathers no foot".
I've always been "shushed" or told to "be still", and I have persisted.
My grandmother loved me. Even if I didn't keep my mouth shut.

It's now a tattoo and a constant reminder.
